Test and Autocross ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sun, 19 Mar 2000 20:58:07 -0500 From: Ken Payne Subject: ADMIN: WOW! I just ran the Ford Truck Enthusiasts server logs for the first time in several months. WOW! A historical perspective: it took us slightly over 2 years to reach 1 million visitors. As of March, 2000, FTE is now receiving over 300,000 visitors per month! Expect **more** free services in the near future. We've added the archive search, updated message board software (if you haven't been by the message boards on the web site lately, you're missing a large and rapidly growing community) and free web based mail so far in March. We've got a few more items upcoming in the next two weeks. Thank you to everyone for making us a success! Ken Payne Admin, Ford Truck Enthusiasts ------------------------------ From: "wish" Date: Tue, 21 Mar 2000 22:23:38 GMT Subject: Test and Autocross Well for those of you who are into the twisty turny thing, we had our first autocross of the season this year. It was snowy cold and wet, but it was an autocross... you can read my story of it here: http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://www.public.iastate.edu/~wish/Racing/Bill.html Also there is a pic of my car staged and an actual MPG of it running. Those of you that want the full story but can't get the web feel free to email me and I'll send you a copy directly. Also if you want just the pic or mpg and not the story: http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://www.public.iastate.edu/~wish/Racing/Images/Ankeny/staged.jpg http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://www.public.iastate.edu/~wish/Racing/Imates/Ankeny/run1.mpg For FTE content which some have issues with, getting my car out of storage now means I can concentrate on the steering and axle swap to get it so I can run it at the events too ... just kidding, though opening up that 390 on a couple of the straights at one of the tracks seems quite appealing :) And more FTE content, this weekend we will be heading to the Quad Cities to run both Rod's '00 V6 and my Dad's 93 Lightning. It should be a good time, and I'll definitely get an mpg of the Lightning eating up the course, unless I'm too horrid of a driver. :) Just my $.02 wish 96 Mustang GT 5spd 4.6L 73ish 1/2ton 4x4 6.4L http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://www.public.iastate.edu/~wish Ford Truck Enthusiasts http://www.ford-trucks.com ------------------------------ End of perf-list Digest V2000 #29 ********************************* ---------------------------------------------------------- Ford Truck Enthusiasts Performance, Hot-Rod and Custom Truck List Send posts to perf-list If you ever want to remove yourself from this mailing list, send an email to: listar To access the rest of this feature you must be a logged in Registered User Of Ford Truck Enthusiasts
