I was able to restore the clear plastic over the gauges using acrylic and a hair dryer to shape it. I've even have Concourse "experts" look at it and they can't tell the difference. The instructment letters and needles took an extremely steady hand to repaint. -Ken Payne 1967 Ford F100 Custom Cab, 390 FE V8 List maintainer, send me comments and suggestions. Oh well, I wasn't going to buy a new one anyway. I am still thinking around $500 for a good used one. Actually upon reflection, if everything works and the truck serves it's purpose, maybe I should leave the body alone and just use it. At least I won't have to worry about some slimeball keying it. The motor is toast and I'm going to put a 460 and C-6 out of a 73 lincoln in it. What will I need as far as mounts? I know I'll need the drive shaft shortened and I'll use the radiator out of the lincoln what else am I missing? I may know where there are some good ones in this area now from a couple of other trucks. There seems to be an abundance of those trucks around here. I think they could be shipped UPS relatively cheaply. Prices should be in the $50.00 range, but I'd have to check to be sure. At times, I would like to have additional power while towing my Travel Trailer. Some have told me that adding a Banks Turbo or some other brand turbo will make all the difference in power and also increase my mileage tremendously. These are noble claims and I think that they may be somewhat based in fact, but I find it difficult to imagine the tremendous increases others brag about. What are your experiences. If you have added a turbocharger system to your diesel, how about letting me know the actual improvements you note. Help me decide once and for all whether to modify my truck or to trade it for a powerstroke. Thanks, John ------------------------------ >From mdniz19 Subject: 65 F250 Crew Cab for sale To: FORDTRUCKS Due to the death of a relative,I've lost the storage and I have to get rid of this truck. It is a '65 F250 factory built crew cab. I belive this truck is rather rare as I have only seen one other in the past 20 years. It needs total restoration, but all the odd parts are there and in good shape. The truck is located in Dittmer MO. (about 40 miles SW of St. Louis) I am open to any offer; its gotta go.
