Sorry guys, I was lazy, here is the url for the warranty issues advisorhttp://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://www.dodgeram.com/technical/warranty_trbl.htm , this is very interesting reading .
The 78/79 broncos are unique to themselves, only produced two years in this body style, the first bronco based on full size truck, nothing like the 76 model. Mine is rusting badly around the rear wheel wells, and the engine is no good. I have a donar vehicle which has a new dealer installed 400 in it which must not have more than a couple thousand miles on it because I pulled the valve cover off to look and the paint is visible on the valve springs and zero debris on the top of the head. No smog devices , its a 71ore 72. It runs but it has a couple of stuck valves from sitting up. I have not been able to do any work towards this project and am willing to give it up to a Ford enth. who may want it. I am only asking a couple hundred or so for all of it , but all must go. The bronco has a great top and rear window is intact, a four speed and NP 205 I belieive, transfer case is the desired one not sure the number at this moment. Has locking hubs and brush guard and grill are in excellent cond. Just needs the motor put in it to go 4 wheelin and a little more to look good. The donar vehicle, someone may want that body once the engine is removed, it looks like the car Burt Reynolds used in the first Gator McClusky movie, running moonshine except his had a 428CJwith 4speed, yeeeehawww.or was it "just" a 429 someone correct me if im wrong.

Save the old oil and put that back in, looks real suspicious to have new oil in the engine after it blows up.

I'm asking that everyone refrain from topics concerning
defrauding Ford Motor Company and/or their dealerships.

Discussion of blowing up an engine for the purpose of
getting it replaced under warranty doesn't belong here
and can quickly get your posting privileges removed.
Do things by the book. Anything else makes you worse
than the dealer.

Some sites that have pics of chopped broncoII's.
Nice work on many of them.
Adam has pictures of his truck there.

The EEC IV does not need VSS signal for operation. It only uses it for
cruise control operation and message center information.
