I couldn't find the rear bumper I wanted (allowed clearance for the ClassV receiver and the winch - without hitting tailgate, plus wrapped around to protect the duallies) Found lots with one of the three features, but never with all three in one, so I decided to build my own. The good news is that the parts were around $100, welding and cutting supplies about $50. So far it has only been 6 hours of design time and 42 hours of fabrication. Paint has yet to be done. (I already owned the equipment I needed to build it) The $1800 for the front Reunel bumper that I want is starting to look like a bargain. :) Dave Somers -----Original Message----- Probably not unless they only charged you for the materials. There is a lot of time involved in building a bumper such as the ARB or the Reunel. These companies have jigs built so it reduces the amount of time to build substantially. And alot of their steel has been pre-bent so all the fabricators need to do is piece it together and weld it. I've had a couple of buddies that own machine shops and do work like this from time to time. They couldn't believe how cheap I bought the bumper for (I'm sure the same thing could be said about the ARB bumpers). They both said there was no way they could build a one of a kind bumper like these for the price they are selling at with materials and labor. Any help would be appreciated. I know the trailer lights work on a different truck. All the fuses are good. The 3' wiring harnes has good conductivity in all four wires. When it's pluged in I hear the turn signal relays in the "jack storage compartment" switching. The 7 pin connection and 4 pin connection are clean. I have no voltage to the end of the 4 pin plug. In the storage compartment most of the wires are different colors (not br, gn, yw, wh). I have no wiring diagram. How can I check the relays? Any other ideas? ========================================================== To unsubscribe, send email to: listar the words "unsubscribe small-list" in the subject of the message. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 May 2000 13:04:30 -0500 From: Troy McClung Subject: Front end Can anyone tell me the best way to determine what type of front end I have on my 59 ford f-100 4x4?
