Hey Everybody,
I need some help deciding what kind of lift to get for my 86 Bronco
> Eddie bauer Ed. I want to get one that will get me a lot of articulation
for trails and one that does not cost more then the truck itselve. If you
have any info on any cool lifts with flex let me know.
Oh yeah did I mention that I have a TTB front axle. That makes it whole
new story.

Subject: Shackle Reversal, Should I shorten the wheelbase?

Hey guys
What's up? Here's the deal. I've got the bed off of my 1979 Ford F250HD
to do a shackle reversal in the rear. The truck is a standard cab longbed,
has about a 132" wheelbase. I am debating on moving the spring hangers to
shorten the wheelbase. What are your guys thoughts, how short should I go?
should I leave it long? One thought was to make it 105" and match the
Bronco wheelbase, then who knows, could always swap on a Bronco body down
the line. I just can't seem to figure out what setup I should run, thus
I'm asking for everyones advice.
The truck is primarily an off-road beater, I highly doubt it will ever see
daily driver use. In fact it will probly wind up being a trailered rig in
a couple years. Right now it is running 38" gumbos with only a 2" shackle
lift in front. I'm guessing that the shackle reversal will net me about 6"
of lift in back, I'll catch up the front in a few weeks once the whole
rear setup is all done. Probly just buy new springs for the front. Thanks
in advance for any and all input.
Chris
