Oh this gonna-a be fun...

-> Muel,
-> Sounds like a great idea! I used two rail road ties (12"X12")
-> stacked and
-> then my jack stands on top to lift my truck.
-> -bob-
-> 79 Bronco
> -> 8" lift 40" hawgs
-> 460's on the trailor!!

Ok, Um... 12 plus, 12 plus, 1 jackstand.
So, letz'see, 12 and 12 is 24 and 1 is 25...
25 inches right?
Man my bone stock Highboy is taller'n-at!-)
Wait! Can ya add a rail road tie to a jack stand?, or do ya have to reverse
cross indabulcate the integers first? !-)

So how tall is a jack stand, and just what does a henweigh?

Seriously folks would ya measure in inches or some ISO recognized units.

Muel

I just want to say thank you for all of your suggestions regarding the
problems that I was having with my chattery starting clutch.

Does anyone remember my prior posts about a year ago regarding the
chattery start in my 1988
Bronco II? Well, I think we may have it
licked.

Please go into all the detail you can regarding what you found out. That
sounds rather bazarre relating a clutch chatter to the ECT. I would like to
know more.

I've thought along these lines too. Easy lift has a 2.53 inch square tubing
made for them with the inside seam smoothed out so 2" tubing will slide
right in. Works well for trailer hitches, but I thought it would work great
for a beefy, adjustable jack stand. It's expensive steel, but you'd only
need a few inches per side with the adjustment holes in the cheaper 2 inch
stock. Standard Steel used to sell the stuff, but I haven't made the rounds

in a while.

Hey Everyone,

I'm a new member to this mailing list, and I am glad to find a group of Ford
lovers to talk to instead of all the Jeep people I try to relate to. I'm in
North Carolina and my playgrounds are Tellico and Uwharrie National Forest.
My vehicle is a purple (not by choice) '97 Ranger SuperCab 4x4, with a 3.0L
V6, custom air intake, K&N, 3" body lift, 4" Superlift suspension, 36"
Swamper TSLs, custom rock rails, swapped in 8.8 rear axle w/4:56 gears and
Detroit locker, and same gears (obviously) in the (sorry to say, horrible
for rock-crawling, no flex) Dana 35 IFS w/Lock-Right locker. I guess you
guys can see the only area where I am annoyed with my truck. I wanted to
know if there is anyone who makes a kit to junk the stock IFS setup for a
solid axle? Also, how can I get a picture of my truck on the Ford
Enthusiasts Pictorial page? Sorry for asking so many questions. It's been
a long time since I have found a group of Ford off-road enthusiasts. Any
input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I was just up in Tellico Last weekend in my '84 Bronco II (3 inch body/2
inch suspension/31x10.50/2.8L v6)...I also have a '97 Ranger Supercab with a
4 inch lift (4 inch Superlift/32x11.5/4.0L v6). You should check out the
off-road board on www.ford ranger. com There's a few doing custom solid axle
swaps with Early Bronco Dana 44 front/9 inch rear and some with full sized
axles. Fabritech sells a conversion kit for the IFS to solid axle... info
on it is available at National Tires page www.natltire.com On the
ford ranger. com ....
