Mag mount with feed line through the slider window. I really like it there. I can open the window and pull it inside, or stick it horizontal just above the window. That's great for parking garages and low trees. I'd heard bad things about the range for mag mounts, but tuning the antenna produced results that weren't that much worse than an NMO coil. If you do need to drill through the cab, I've found that a grommet, (1/4 ID, 3/8 rib dia., 9/16 OD), works about the best with the RG 58 coax used with most CB's. It will still need a little sealant. BTW... I was checking out the FCC webpage. There's a class called Radio Service. It's somewhat like Family Service, FSR, but requires that you fill out a form. You can only use the freq's to talk to your immediate family. The benefit of this over FSR, (those little walkie talkies that put out half a watt), is you can transmit with 5 Watts AND use a repeater. For people who don't like to rag chew, but use the cb to keep the cell phone.... To access the rest of this feature you must be a logged in Registered User Of Ford Truck Enthusiasts
