Definately sounds like the box. I have had the same problem, except that
it failed to the left instead of right. Usually you're best off getting a
rebuilt box, a box from the junkyard is going to have the same problem
(if it doesn't have it already).

Those problems are usually wheel-brake-alignment related. BTDT :(

Correct!Usually broken pumps while like a little baby, kind of a funny
sound (especially if it's not your own :))

Air?? Dont think so, it's normal for the box to hiss a little bit when
you lock it all the way, it's just the hydraulics trying to push further
but there's a mechanical stop. Better not to do that, it's not gonna
break it or anything but it is just unnecessary stress. Actually the oil
can get amazingly hot when you don't have a cooler and stress the system.
That was part of the reason why mine failed, I got stuck and tried to
turn my wheels.Afterwards I installed the new box, and put a transmission
cooler in the return line. Now I can stress it all day and it won't
complain and I can still hold the hydraulic line with my fingers!
