Has anyone seen or done a disk conversion to the Dana 30? I have been
comparing some 44 parts from a `78 model. It doesnt look like too much
trouble to make work with a little machine work. I have several Dana 30
axles and dont need the extra strength of the 44. But would like some better
stopping power.

I live just north of Seattle and work in N.Seattle, often driving sidestreet
s.
I think I may have seen this rig w/a for-sale sign.. dark-green and white ?
'74 *wasn't* a good year for bodies, and such, but $350 could buy lots of go
od parts, tires/ rims etc.
I'm not interested, but can give a semi-decent checkout for other listmember
s..
..somehow this looks like *significant other* said "it's you and/or that dam
ned truck" here...

You can convert your 30 to disc brakes by using a mix of 71-77 Chevy 1/2T 4x4
parts and Ford parts. It is easier and cheaper to do than the factory Ford stuff
and it will work on your 30. And if you ever decide to upgrade to the 44, it
will bolt on with no hassle as well. If you're interested, I can send you some
more information on this swap. Email at derrar
internetcds.com.
