Go see your local spring shop.

Be seeing you!

hello, my name is rich, i really think the best way to fix it is to replace
the leaf springs, i have a 1987 ford f150 4x4 big foot cruiser, the rear
leafs are saging,so i priced them out for the rear,it will cost me about
450.00 for both rear leaf packs, u bolts,shackels,frame hangers,it isn,t a
bad price, any other way always gives you problems

I had the same problem, with my '78 bronc. If I loaded it up to the GVWR
the axle was barely 1" away from the stops. Took the springs to a spring
shop, had them re-arc them and add an extra leaf. I'm not sure about the
cost, maybe $100 or so. This was in canada so I enjoyed a favourable
exchange rate. Of course that doesn't include labour for installing and
removing them. Anyway I am quite happy with the results, the springs are
a bit hard but it's better than hitting the stops all the time. Plus now
I can load 500lbs of stuff in the back and not have it come down
significantly.

Bas.
