If I loaded it up to the GVWR the axle was barely 1" away from the stops. Took the springs to a spring shop, had them re-arc them and add an extra leaf. I'm not sure about the cost, maybe $100 or so. This was in canada so I enjoyed a favourable exchange rate. Of course that doesn't include labour for installing and removing them. Anyway I am quite happy with the results, the springs are a bit hard but it's better than hitting the stops all the time. Plus now I can load 500lbs of stuff in the back and not have it come down significantly. Bas.
