Well I went in for the same thing and the Body shop manager dragged this
issues on for at least 6 months... but finally i gave ford Canada a call and
let them know my thoughts and they quickly called the dealership.. bout 45
minutes later the dealership called me to tell me there is a fix but i have
to pay half of it.. I don't think its fair at all.. I bought the paint
protection waranty i must be able to fix it for free or ford pick up the
tab... its there fault!!!

Thanks
Mark Browning

I got these via the FTE and fordtrucksonline.com web sites:

Service Bulletin Number: 98-4717
Bulletin Sequence Number: 712
Date of Bulletin: 9809
NHTSA Item Number: SB607127
Make: FORD TRUCK
Model: F250
Year: 1997

Bulletin Sequence Number: 845
Date of Bulletin: 9908

There's probably others out there, I had to badger my local dealer into
tracking the service bulletins down on his computer ...

problem......I didn't either until it happened to me.
