Well They called me back telling me there is thousands of dollars in repairs
to do!!! and the extended warranty people have to send a adjuster in to see
the truck before they will accept the claim... Now I'm kind of worried..
Don't get me wrong I babied the truck no heavy huling or anything i just
cruise around with it now this... but what really sucks is about 7 months
ago i brought it in to the dealer and told them i think there is something
wrong with the tranny, because i could feel it actually slip... so after
eight hours there hey told me they could not replicate the problem and that
the diagnostic machine pick up no errors...  And then they charged me 1 hour
labour for it... but know its totally screwed then need to change everything
on the tranny.. Geez now I feel sick to my stomach thinking about the battle
i might have to engage in!!! I just hope they fix it because i really can't
afford to pay for all that.. especailly since i didn't do anything to the
truck for this to happen... Pretty scary stuff...

If you have the receipt that shows you brought it into the dealer for the
problem back then, keep it handy. You may need it. Not saying it will happen,
but someone could claim abuse if you drove it that long. You should not
really have a problem but just in case, get all the ammunition you can.

How many drain plugs are there on side of the block?  Are they on both
sides?  Do they have gaskets or o-rings - or do I possibly need some
special thread compound to seal them once I remove them (teflon
plumber's tape)?   I like the idea of getting as much coolant out as
possible, please advise whether these plugs are intended to be removed
for routine coolant change.    Any special tricks for refilling the
system?

Thanks!
Lou
