You just replied.  The mailing list doesn't need a password or
user id, just send mail to it. :-)

Ken, I know that -- problem is I can't get into the other parts at the site
itself!

I have a question I hope you all can answer... I just ordered a plain
jane
2001 F-150, 4x4 last month.. Nothing special about it, other than the
fact
that it is an XLT... It came in the other week, and the nameplate on the
side of it says F-150 7700... Does anyone know what a 7700 is?

Can you guys who've had success in getting your doors fixed...particulalrly
on those trucks out of warranty...provide specific information on how it was
accomplished? Items such as dealer names, service manager names, body shop
manager names, and the names of ford reps who authorized the repairs could go
a long way towards helping those of us who haven't been so fortunate in our
dealings with Ford.

Thanks,
Bill

Mark,

You have what used to be called an F-250 Light Duty.  Go count the lug
nuts on each wheel.  I bet there are seven of them.  The truck has a GVWR of
7700 lbs.  The frame is slightly stiffer, the rear differential is a 10.25
inch and the rear axle is a full floating type.  You have a tougher truck than
the run of the mill F-150.  Congrats on one tough truck!

Regards

Hahaha... well, I think the joke is on me.... by the looks of it, I think
it was bubba rae's first day at the factory, and put the wrong nameplate on
it... It does have the bigger 255 tires on it, but I don't think it has the
7 lugs..
