My 5.4 routinely gets 12 - 14 combined freeway/road, 10 in town.
Freeway(long road trip) can go up to 18 at best.  I run 265/17 on my Lariet
with a snug top camper shell

My 97 F150 has rust along the bottom of the drivers door. The truck only has
30k miles but it has been "in service" for more then 3 yr.. I just bought it
~ 6 weeks ago...I checked the entire truck over mechanically, but didn't
really think to look for rust on a 3 year old truck! From reading some of
the archives I see others have had this problem..has anyone had any luck
getting Ford to replace/repair the doors (other then for the cracking)?

Bob,

On my 97 they repainted the doors because of the rust.
Corrosion Warranty.
I would also check the tailgate for rust.  My 97 was a lease
and the lease was up
so I never showed my dealer the rust.  I now lease a 00 and
I check it every time it gets washed.

Like JMC said, have it repaired under the Corrosion Warranty.  5 years unlimited
miles.

I was under the impression the 5 yr. was for rust-through only (there's a
hole in the sheet metal). Has the policy changed?
