I see now that ford offers the Idle speed module from the factory. I wish I had got that and the 2nd alternator. Let me know which unit you have interest in. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I too am looking at my winch options. Unfortunately the idle and pto controllers will NOT allow you to engage speed control or PTO without parking brake on and transmission in neutral (manual) or park (auto). I'm afraid putting the brake on will certainly make the winch work harder. The controller only has 4 wires going in/out, so I think it is getting/sending a digital signal to the cpu. makes it a lot harder to bypass that "safety" feature.
