Is my ride a dog ? Towing instructions said to order 4:30 gears, general instructions "Order lower gear ratio than prev years models to take advantage of wide RPM range of new engines". You do need to run the engine at a higher RPM to obtain the horsepower, the same as the boat engine. My V-10, 4:30 11,000# bucket truck has good power, better than my 89 460, 4:10. The brakes however are worthless... I bought a new GMC last month, it stops nice, was avail off the lot with a gas engine. It depends on what they did. I know that my dealer told me I needed a tire rotation w/ 7000 miles on the odometer. They wanted $100!!! I could have Discount/America's Tires do it for free and I didn't buy it there.
