The power outlet and lighter plugs are both non-switch (hot all the time). Harris, you need to see the electrical SPECS on that vehicle. HOOKING other than Ford equipement to the power distribution ckts can get you into real trouble with the vehicles electronics. Ford has two sources of 2 amp power to excite relays that are capable of handling 30 amps MAX. Ford (supposedly) says that if you don't hook up the externals in this manner that you can get bogus currents to the electronic systems. I think that they said the 30 amp ckt should come directly off of the battery. You need to check the books on this one. All that I can say is that all the relays that I have looked at in Ford's schematics have relay coil quenching. - -.. --- -.. , ... --- ... With the Power seat there is no problem. If you order keyless without the power seat expect a additional month and a half wait time. There was a hold on the off road package but it is now available. The problem is Microsoft email packages. They insist on sending W*NMAIL.DAT and M*ME attachments (can't spell them because the server will bounce them).
