I called my dealer today to fix the problem and to my surprise he never heard of this problem. Also, he said that this is normal for a 3 year old truck, especially if you live in a bad environment (Ohio) then he start talking to me about how did it get cold, worm, rain, snow, freeze, ..etc. He is trying to tell me that all trucks have this thing after 3-4 years. I tried to explain to him that I’ve never heard of that and I use to own trucks before, but he won’t listen. I hung-up with him and jumped on the Internet to find everything I could find about the rear glass on F150. I couldn’t find a TSB or anything about it. I’ve been a member for this lest for many years now and I know I heard people talking about this in the past, and they did get there glass changed. But I can’t remember if they used a TSB or what really did they tell the service manager. So now I’m stuck with a leaky rear window ‘till I come-up with something. Please help. I believe that you can substitute MV for M but not M for MV. Supposedly MV fluid has modified friction properties to correct some shift harshness concerns with certain transmissions (AOD-E, AOD-EW, and 4R70W among them). The BS from the dealer is normal. How about all the people Ford stuck with the cavitation problem. Diesel engine replacements without any help from Ford. $6000 to $7000 for a rebuilt and the dealers stuck their heads in the sand. That's sad! Someday Ford will wish they took care of those diesel owners. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 15 Feb 2000 07:43:32 -0800 From: Jon Berman Subject: Idle Speed Check Hello, Does anyone know the correct idle speed for a 1998 F150, 2wd, auto, 4.6V8? Also, is there a way to hook up a digital multimeter (that reads rpm) in order to see if the instrument cluster tach is accurate? Thanks, Jon ------------------------------ From: "Craig, Dennis" Subject: Re: Front Steering Stabilizer Date: Tue, 15 Feb 2000 10:53:31 -0800 Not sure, I will check. That would answer why it would/could be built without it. thanks,dc -----Original Message----- From: johny [mailto:johny Sent: Monday, February 14, 2000 9:56 AM To: 97up-list Subject: [97up-list] Re: Front Steering Stabilizer The steering stabalizer should come with the "off-road" package.
