The steering stabalizer should come with the "off-road" package.
Did he get that?

I did not have one on my F250 SD either
so I just got one from Super Lift and installed
it.

I guess finally it did happen to me, the leaky rear window. I called my dealer today
to fix the problem and to my surprise he never heard of this problem. Also, he said
that this is normal for a 3 year old truck, especially if you live in a bad environment
(Ohio) then he start talking to me about how did it get cold, worm, rain, snow, freeze,
..etc. He is trying to tell me that all trucks have this thing after 3-4 years. I
tried to explain to him that Iíve never heard of that and I use to own trucks before,
but he wonít listen.
I hung-up with him and jumped on the Internet to find everything I could find about the
rear glass on F150. I couldnít find a TSB or anything about it. Iíve been a member
for this lest for many years now and I know I heard people talking about this in the
past, and they did get there glass changed. But I canít remember if they used a TSB or
what really did they tell the service manager.
So now Iím stuck with a leaky rear window Ďtill I come-up with something.
Please help.

Hunter

They are different. I believe that you can substitute MV for M but not M for
MV. Supposedly MV fluid has modified friction properties to correct some
shift harshness concerns with certain transmissions (AOD-E, AOD-EW, and
4R70W among them).

At least it's just a leaky seal. The BS from the dealer is normal. How about
all the people Ford stuck with the cavitation problem. Diesel engine
replacements without any help from Ford. $6000 to $7000 for a rebuilt and the
dealers stuck their heads in the sand. That's sad! Someday Ford will wish
they took care of those diesel owners.

Hello,

Does anyone know the correct idle speed for a 1998 F150, 2wd, auto,
4.6V8?

Also, is there a way to hook up a digital multimeter (that reads rpm) in

order to see if the instrument cluster tach is accurate?

Thanks,
Jon

Not sure, I will check. That would answer why it would/could be built
without it.
thanks,dc
