My '99 F-350 PSD/CC/SRW/6-speed/3.73(or is it 3.55?) diff with a cab-high
camper shell and 42,000 miles gets 16MPG highway. Towing the 30' TT
(about 8000lb.) I get 10MPG. My truck weighs approx. 7300lb. with driver
and a full tank of fuel.

I hear stories all the time about folks getting 20-22MPG out of their PSD
but as far as I'm concerned there just folklore. I've never gotten better
than 17MPG out of a tank of fuel.

Erik, in Alaska, when if ever do you see "un-winterized" diesel fuel?

I've gotten just barely over 20mpg on my 99 SD PSD, SC 4x4 auto short bed.
3.73 SRW.
Once.

Was going from Las Vegas through Death Valley to Panamint spring and
refueled in Ridgemont Ca. The penalty was that I was mostly doing 55 MPH or
less.

Unloaded Round trips from San Jose ca to LA are 19 mpg 67 mph,
and to South Lake Tahoe at the same speed is 17 mpg. Last summer
doing a loop from San Jose, ca through southern Utah, I was getting
tanks from 14MPG to 9.8 carrying a 3000 lbs Lance 820. The avg for
that trip as about 11.8

Unloaded I have the tires at 65 lbs, and full GVW at 82 lbs.
265/75/16.

Speed/boost has a large affect on the milage of a Diesel.
More speed, lends to more boost == more fuel consumption.

Have about 28,000 miles now.

I have never seen the lower quality fuel (un-winterized) up here. It could
be it's just not worth the change over.. Up till a few months ago I lived in
Fairbanks AK, Non winter months are far and few.. Now that I live in
Anchorage, it may stay warm enough to allow the storage and sale of that
grade of fuel...

First, I've already contacted them, and their hosting company
and sent a complaint.

Second, they've been removed from the list.

Third, I've put a blacklisting notice on the main page of the
site.

Fourth, I take measures to fight spam and protect email addresses,
including, use of a robots.txt exclusion file, POP before sendmail
confirmation, subscription confirmation for the discussion groups,
blocking web access to known email harvesting sites and a web
mail harvester database pollution program. Lastly, the message boards
completely hides users email addresses.

Fifth, I have no control over the actions of others. I can't make
them stop anything. If they subscribe to the list, and you post,
there's nothing I can do to keep them from copying and pasting
your address into their address book. The best I can do I take
action after the fact.

On a final note, concerning this spammer, if you've been
contacted by this spammer you may want to call and let

Also got the spam. Sounds like Ken has already addressed the problem and
has taken all the steps he can. The more determined will still find ways to
'harvest' addresses. Thanks for updating us on the steps already taken.
Keep up the great work.

Has anyone seen/used this?
