When you compare the initial cost and maintenance cost over a 100,000 mile life, the gas engine is much cheaper. I've heard alot of good things about the v10, I thing you are on the right track. What's the final price tag going to be on the supercharger, I may want to check on one for my 4.6 Expedition. Good luck! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert Benne" To: "Trucks Ford" <97up-list Sent: Saturday, February 26, 2000 7:26 AM Subject: [97up-list] Supercharging > I have a 99 F350 S/C 4x4 w/V-10. Peggy and I are back from her grandfather's funeral. We decided that there wasn't much point in staying the entire weekend and left a couple of hours after the funeral. He was a very good man who's been suffering with cancer for months. If you'll indulge me for a few sentences.... I hold in high regard anyone, regardless of their faith (ie, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, etc) who can follow that faith 100%. Its something I have a very difficult time doing. Peggy's grandfather, "Doc", was one such man who, as a country physician, had helped countless individuals and practiced medicine in his retirement home to the very end. Very well loved man who had a sincere belief in his God and did his best to help others, even to the point of being taken advantage of. I didn't know him very long, but his death touched me deeply. I think his dying words said it all... "For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith" 2 Timothy, 4:6-7 Can you imagine going out with those words? Hearing it left me speechless. Anyway, I have received numerous messages of condolence from fellow FTE'rs, and rather than attempt to answer them all I'll say here to everyone.... "thank you." I mean it sincerely and it was nice coming home to it. I'll be taking care of FTE administrative items and will catch up by the end of the weekend. I have tried everything and it say this "list" is not on my machine, but I keep getting emails! Your sensitivity and patience would have been appreciated. Per your request, made in front of 100's of list members, you've been removed. It was not warranted. I guess I've been under a lot of stress, but that's really not an excuse for treating someone badly. Back to the topic of Ford trucks, I'll be posting a couple of news articles on the web site this evening about the new SuperCrew. Ken Payne Admin, Ford Truck Enthusiasts ------------------------------ From: "Nicholas Androulidakis" Subject: Re: ADMIN: I'm back Date: Sun, 27 Feb 2000 10:15:01 -0500 Does anyone know about the oil-drain replacement valves for the V10? I tried Fumotovalve.com, but it doesn't seem to be responding. Thanks.
