FWIW, we have dyno'ed the Superchip EPA Legal and 'off-raod' chips and the
gains were substantial. I don't recall the numbers off the top of my head,
I'l have to check the dyno, but the 'small' chip was very impressive. We
made two pulls in each of the following configurations :

Bone Stock
Added K+N Filter (gained 3.6rwhp)
Added 'small' chip
Changed to 'large' chip.

The next time I get over to the shop, I will post the data.

I just read on kbb.com for the 2001 F350 that there is an option called -

76R Reverse Sensing System XLT, Lariat 208.00 245.00?

Does anyone know what this option is? i'M REAL curious.

Thanks,
Scott.

I also saw on kbb.com that the horsepower has been incresaed to meet the GM
Challenge -

Code 99F (1); VIN F; Cylinders V8; Liters 7.3; Fuel Induction Turbo Dsl; HP
275; Torque 500
Code 99F (2); VIN F; Cylinders V8; Liters 7.3; Fuel Induction Turbo Dsl; HP
250; Torque 500

Check this out!.

Scott.

Possibly one of those "radar" sensors that warns you before backing into
cars, grocery carts, kids, etc.

Lets see if we can encourage Gas and Diesel Chip users to submit some good
objective and quanitative reviews of their Chipped Trucks.

well the transmission shifting improvement was worth it for me. Yes when you

I have a 1999 F250 V10 with a Superchip. It firms up the shifting, and
increases the shift points by a few hundred rpm. It also gives the truck a
little more power. Not tire-smoking power, but it's noticeable. The
pre-Superchip truck seems lethargic by comparison...kind of like having the
parking brake on a notch or two. The only trade off is you need to run
premium fuel to get the power gain.

I didn't notice any mileage gains from the Superchip. This past May I added a
Gibson catback exhaust, a K&N filter, and modified the air intake. Since then
I've noticed a 1/2-1 mpg increase in mileage. I think these mods and the
Superchip make a nice package.
