The dealer just called me and said there is a hold on the sport packages for the F-150 2000's until October. He said my truck is built but they are waiting for the sport packages. Anyone else know/heard about this hold? The reason mine is on hold is because of the electronic telescoping trailer mirrors. My dealer told me that they would not even start the truck until they were ready with the mirrors. I sure hope they are worth the wait. I was told that the day they started using the telescoping mirrors, they were going to quit using the regular trailer tow mirrors, but I'm not sure if thats true or not. I doubt your truck is built, it might be serialized, but until the Sport is available I doubt it will actually get built. Sometimes we will run a few hrs without a part if we run out! and the part can be easily installed. It takes a lot of money to rework cars that have been built already, and the quality goes down! For what ever reason I dont think your truck is built ! And I hate salesmen who lie ? My opinion is most salesmen dont have a clue as to what is going on in any assembly plant!
