There is no room for a 2nd battery in the gas truck. There is a wire to
charge a trailer batt included in the trlr tow pkg.(at the rear bumper)
Check to see if there is a 2nd battery FACTORY option.

Does anyone know of a scantool that can read the diagnostic codes for
the new diesels?

Don't know of any inexpensive tools, but I was just playing with the Ford
tester (New Generation Star Tester) and there is a lot of neat information
you can get. The one I enjoyed most is you can pull up Manifold pressure
(BOOST!) It ran 17 PSI maximum and 1-2 PSI cruising at 55 MPH. The engine
is supposed to produce 20 PSI with a load but I didn't have a hitch on this
truck to try it. I also asked on adjusting the wastegate for more boost,
but the computer will off-set any mechanical modifications you make to keep
boost at the level it wants, so the only way to increase boost is
electronically.

So what does Ford put where the second battery should go? I
can't believe they's have a completely different stamping for
the diesel trucks, so the place for the tray should be there.

Greetings List Members,

This is a long overdue reminder of the Planned Get Together at Disney Land
in CA. The Get together was planned for October 3rd and 4th. A place and
time to meet has not been picked yet.

I was planning on attending this get together, until my place of employment
changed my plans with out asking me. Another words, I now have to work
that weekend and won't be able to make it.

For those of you planning to go, you might want to talk among yourselves
and try and pick a location and time to meet.

I apologize for not sending this reminder sooner.

Thanks
Keith Srb

This is the first I've heard of this... have I been sleeping? Would you
care to elaborate?

Thanks,

Pat

I am interested in an after market exhaust system, most likely the gibson
cat-back single system and was concerned about the volume of sound in the
cab of the truck. Is there anyone with this system that can tell me how
much louder it is then the stock exhaust. Also how much difference was
there in performance and in gas mileage. Thanks for the info.
