Dan Healy
I have a F-450 and use it primarally for towing 14000# 5th wheel. I
built 11' special bed for that use. The truck with fuel etc weighs
10000#. I get 9mpg pulling and 13mpg unloaded. Have PSD and AT, and
4.88 gears and very satisfied after 7500 miles.

Anyone have a 450 or 550? I am considering trading in a 96 Dodge 3500
(Nothing but HEADACHES) for a new 450 or 550, I primarily carry ro\ck,
dirt and was wondering if anyone had one and what there comments are? I
want a Diesel...

Hope this works. Long time reader, first time poster.

I just installed Fumoto's oil drain valve on my "99 PSD. It will make future
oil changes easy next time. The valve has a locking notch to prevent
accidental opening. I was lucky that Fumoto's office is close to where I
live, I paid $15.98 plus WA. Tax for mine. Put they will ship any where for
$2.00. Fumoto Engineering of America

I order mine from Diesel Injection Services in Texas. They are the same
ones Ford sell, at 1/4 the price. DSI are on the web.

OEM element made by Racor. We use Racor extensively in our business, and have
found aftermarket replacements to be vastly inferior. Not office now, but
remember number is a Racor Interceptor #. Dealer should be able to locate. If
needed, msg me and I'll look it Monday

Doesn't Denver switch to Oxygenated (the spell checker got that one!) Fuels
seasonally? Did your mileage drop right after the switch?

I left Denver about 10 years ago. The oil boom went bust, and so did my
job. I have thought about returning, but never made it back.
