FYI: Ford recalling 779,000 1998 & 1999 Trucks & SUVs!!

"The cables could lead to a stuck throttle".
Ford is warning drivers NOT to use their cruise control system!

I just found this on the news tonight. It appears that my 1999 F350

the list. The disappointing thing about this is, I "was" (and probably go
a head with) planning a 4000 mile trip in mid May with the SD CC. The info
on the web page indicates the replacement cables will be available about the
time I will be on the road.

When it rains , it pours.....I have a recall for my 94 Concorde to. The
o-rings on the fuel rail may leak and cause a fire. I wonder my 96 Ranger
is next?

Funny but I got the same recall on my Dodge Intrepid, and I still haven't
had the recall work done for the brake line on my SD. Hopefully I can just
wait until the cruise control cables come in before bringing the truck in,
then I can get both the brake line and the cruise done at the same time. I
seem to remember something about a deadline for the brake line recall work.
Do I have to get it done by some date, before its no longer free?

a head with) planning a 4000 mile trip in mid May with the SD CC. The info
on the web page indicates the replacement cables will be available about the
time I will be on the road.

Several people have been waiting on t-shirts. We ran out
and had order more. We received them on Thursday and the
printing was bad (one color was offset). Our supplier,
Jim Osborn Reproductions (same supplier as our books and
decals) believes in top-notch quality and took them back,
no questions asked. They're going back to press and should
be shipping by the end next week. We apologize for the
delay and wanted everyone to know that we don't cash checks
or charge cards until the product ships.

Go to www.recall.ford.com and you can enter your vin number and it will tell
you if your vehicle is included.

The news article I saw said rather than SD's it said F series.

I have a 99 F250 SD PSD SC and after entering my vin my vehicle supposedly
does not have the problem because the answer came back stating it was not
included in the recall.
