Subject: FTE 97up - VIN Number

I just recieved my VIN number for my '99 F-350 SuperDuty / SuperCab / XLT /
4X4 / V-10 / 3.73LS / LongBed / SnowPlow, OffRoad & Tow Packs / PTO / etc.
Expected delivery is week of 12/14.

VIN Number is:

1FTSX31SXXEC93313

does anyone have the key for discipheric it? I have the workshop manual for
my '98 Expedition and '98 Explorer; however, they do not list the code for
certain letters. Thanks. [I just want to make sure the VIN is consistent
with my order].

Subject: FTE 97up - 99PSD Torque Converter problems

Over on Jason's Page there has been mention of problems with noisy torque
converters and fair amount of failures, with dealers replacing the converter
and the front pump, and some complaints about not flushing the unit out and
then losing the whole tranny. Nathan or anybody got any details on this yet?
Just order mine two weeks ago 350 CC PSD 4X4 hoping it fixed before my gets
built

To those who've wondered when the chat page is going to be
back up.... I've been testing out the chat engine we used
in the spring (the one that would hang up every 2-3 days).
On the new server, it doesn't seem to have the hanging
problems. 2-3 more days of testing and it will be online.
This chat server doesn't use web server resources at all,
unlike the one we've been using which hogs 1 web connection
per user (which causes web visitors to wait for a web
connection if they're all used up).
