Scott,

Congratulations on getting that new Super Duty at a decent price.

I think your idea is workable, and you could have a lot of fun with the
project. However, from a practical stand point, it's overkill.

Two much simpler alternatives are to 1) Install an EGT gage and remain in the
truck for the few seconds it takes for the EGT to cool down to idle
temperature. or like 99.9% of us, 2) Just let the engine idle for about a
minute and shut it down.

Usually, the simple act of parking our trucks allows plenty of time for turbo
cool down.

I just got my 1999 f 150 4 wd , i have one problem that i think needs to be
corrected immediately. The captains chairs' arm rests are toooo short , i'm 5'
9" & my elbow rests on the edge of the arm rest , not the arm rest itself,can
i get a longer arm rest?

There is probably an aftermarket armrest out there, somewhere.

I am lucky -- the armrests fit me well.

(I find it so ironic that my 98 F150 has better driver/passenger seats than
most cars. Plus, I am happy with the space I have in the center console
to store stuff.)

hey nathan (or anybody else for that matter),

do you see any pro/cons between getting a e-350 or f-350 for a cube van type
setup? i don't need anything dock high, but i'll want the diesel (i think...
i've been impressed with the '98 e-350s that i've rented that had the diesel
but there again, i didn't have to service it) and i'll need to have a
hydraulic lift on the back.

can you give me any ideas i might be missing between choosing on the two.
only other obvious thing is the econoline doesn't have as big of a nose as
the f-series (for maneuvering).

anybody also know why it's "f" series??

Subject: FTE 97up - '97 Ranger Audio

I just put in 2 10" Boston Acustic subs behind my captain
seats in my Ranger, standard cab. I have the seats on the
second setting, almost as far forward as they go. For the
box, I just put them in the box they came in. However,
since I only have a 100 watt amp, they are getting 25 watts
/ channel. What would you recommend for a 800 watt amp? I
plan to get 2 6x8 220watt pioneers to replace the premium
30watt stock speakers up front.

Anyone have a standard Ranger with 2 10" subs in one box
that covers the entire area behind the seats? I don't get
as much bass as I want.
