The air conditioning seems weak at best and drops way off at idle. I recently rented a new F-150 for a business trip and the A/C almost froze me out of the cab. Is there some difference in the A/C system Ford puts in these two trucks? Anyone been having any A/C problems of their own? Just read a post where someone put an after-market chip in their truck. I think I may have asked this once before, but doesn't that void the Ford warranty? == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 21 Sep 1998 07:50:00 -0500 From: "Union Auto" Subject: Re: FTE 97up - Rubber Flappers on Cab Vents I believe they pump engine coolant to the oil filter area instead of pumping oil to an external cooler. (this was also a pain if you live on gravel roads, because in the summer the moisture makes dust stick to this one wheel so it gets dirty even though the rest of the truck is clean.)
