One is a 20 Plate for Diesel engines and the other is a 26 Plate for Gas apps. They are made by Long manufacturing. There are also integral coolers (in radiator) for all auto apps and the 6 speed manual also has a cooler. I would have thought the Diesel might have the larger cooler, based the fact it might be in more heavy towing situations. Or is it just a space issue, since the Diesel has this big intercooler/ aftercooler to deal with? - -john > The 1999 Source Book only lists two coolers for the 4R100. If so, how accurate is it? I have a VIN # and a boxcar # that I believe belongs to Union Pacific. Any input is appreciated. Other than that, they do use the current State system, no references to Territories! So you can at least track it across the States. We do use it to track steel shipments. How did you get the boxcar #? - -- Thomas Veik tlveik == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 01 Sep 1998 00:32:26 GMT From: jmurin Subject: FTE 97up - Super Duty Ordering Question Recently I placed an order for a 1999 F350 PSD with a local dealership. At that time I received a printout labeled "VEHICLE ORDER CONFIRMATION." Everything appears to be correct as far as the desired model and options being specified. What I am wondering is whether there is anything else I should request from the dealer to verify that everything is in order. They are saying it will probably take 3 to 4 months to get the truck (but they aren't making any promises.) I would hate to find out 4 months from now that something got screwed up and have to start all over again. Thanks in advance. Call 1-800-392-FORD. Then they gave me the status code which was the rail car #. I could have got it from the dealer easier but my source was out of town this week, and I couldn't ask of it from anyone else there.
