I used the smae credit on my SD in June. I don't think it is transferable but
I would talk to the dealer. He does not care where the monye comes from as
long as he is paid.

I've got on here unused. I have the towing package as well, and had it in my hitch receiver until I purchased my spare tire rack, which mounts into the hitch, so I am now unable to get it in there... Let me know if you're interested in it, I'll give you a "used" price (I had
it in my hitch receiver for about three weeks... doh...)

The Ford Citybank card USED to earn money toward the purchase of a new Ford
vehicle. The program has been dropped, but if you had a balance previously,
it would be usable for up to five years from when it was earned. It is not
transferable. You could, however, put both names on the title and then take
his off after the rebates have gone through. The warranty is on the truck
not the owner. No matter how many times the vehicle is sold the warranty
remains the same.

Western manufacturing in Marshalltown, Iowa makes louvered tailgates with a
drop in the middle to clear fith wheels. The tailgate for a 1997 or newer
F-150 fits the SD so if you see any for these they are interchangeable.

By the way, I've had no problems with my '98 F 150 which has all the

Good luck,

This issue has bugged me for a long time. (Yes, pun is

For me personally, I have been looking at one by Covercraft. The
reason? If you travel a lot over the road... vacations or what not...
You can accumilate a lot of bugs, rocks, and other debris. With a
bra, most of that is removed along with the bra. Whent the bra starts
looking bad in a few years, buy a new one. If your hood, grill, and
fenders start looking bad in a few years... take a loan out against
your 401K.

That's why I am considering it.

You can also go to Ford manual, electrical section, look for defect
"auto lock not working", several wires are listed as possible
cause...cut one, I cut the one going to the brake light switch, on my 96
Windstar. Nothing drives me nuts more than walking around to get my
groceries out to find the door locked! I live in a rural area, seldom
remove keys, much less lock the car!

I have used this card, I don"t bel;eive the entire balance disappears,
only the portion over 5yrs old(if any). It is not transferrable, I had
to put Corp trucks in my name & buy new plates. GM allows transfer
husband to wife, unsure of Ford.
I was wondering if your friend bought the truck out of state, then you
licensed it first in your state, would he owe sales tax? This might vary
by state. Go ahead & ask dealers, they want to make sales after all.

I put my bra in the wash just like my wife does. Sorry, I could not
resist.. Actually the LeBra on my 88 Beretta is about 9 yrs old and it
still looks good. I do wash it in the machine and I Armorall every so
often. I do not a full bra is yet made for the 97's. If you do find one
make sure it is a 2 peice that allows you to open the hood without having to
remove it.

I have been thinking about ways of getting more boost out of my 3.0 V6 98

improve things about it.

My question is: Does getting a K&N air filter really help?
What about their other products(superchargers or something). What about
getting a new exhast system. I know this can be a couple of hundred of
dollars but what effects would I expect to see if I installed one and is it
very difficult to install.

Thanks for your help!

The card used to be Citibank, then was bought out and is now
Ford Citibank -- mine was a MasterCard. The last address I
had for them was Ford Citibank Mastercard - P.O. Box 6001 -
Sioux Falls, SD 57188. Just my luck -- I canceled mine about
18 mo. before I bought a new Ford! I doubt there is any way
for anyone other than the name on the card to use the
credit, but good luck trying!

I believe the new car warranty is transferable from one
person to the next. That is something you could find out by
calling a dealer and asking if you bought a Ford with
remaining time on the warranty, would the remaining time be
transferable.

Chris,
We drive a '98 ex. I got a Ford Motorsport hitch cover (part # FMC
NPN.19520). It is cast aluminum and you can get it at the Ford dealer.
List is ~$28. We obtained ours for ~$22 + taxes. Performance sells the
same stuff for ~$35. We also have a nose mask for the ex. This was also
purchased at the dealership and cost us ~$96 total. We use the mask for
long trips, most recent to Plymouth, MI, less than two weeks ago (we live in
Albany, GA). The mask really helps. I do not use it within town, however.
Anytime you take it off, you have to wash the truck, and mask prior to
putting it back on. In my opinion these accs. are worth it. Here is some
contact information. Call Donny at Pritchett Ford, number is 912-883-3100
or 800-226-7748. If Donnie is not in, you can speak with Jimmy, who is the
parts manager. Both are super nice, helpful people to deal with.
Good luck.

Hi all. Just drove my '99 F-150 5.4 4x4 S/S S/C home. Ordered June
9, arrived Aug 21. The 4th door is really practical and the new
grill grows on you - chunky truck look! The new color is way cool
- - Deep Wedgewood Blue which is between black and a '98
Expedition's Medium Wedgewood Blue. Will forward a pic this
weekend if anyone is interested. Keith - keithf rocketmail.com.

Congratulations Keith on your new truck!

I'd be interested in seeing a picture of it! That's the color I think I'll
be ordering my 250LD 4x4 SC in. I went to the dealer with my dad last
Friday to help him order a '99 Expedition, and looked at the color swatches
in the ordering guide. It's hard to tell how it'll look on a truck since
the swatch is so small...it just looked like any other dark blue. I am glad
that it looks like a true dark blue, instead of just a darker version of
the hideous blue (IMHO) on the '98 Expy. Also what interior color did you
get? If you got the dark grey I'd love to see how that looks, since I've
already seen the light grey.

Also, how's the power of the improved 5.4? Did you order the off road
package and get the 3.73 gears? Let me know if you did since the 250LD
comes with those gears so that should come the closest to the performance
of what I am planning to get.

Congratulations on your new toy....looking forward to hearing how it
performs...

Subject: FTE 97up - Aftermarket wheels for 97+ F250LD

As I start planning what I want to order in my new truck, I was wondering
if anyone knows if there are any aftermarket wheels available for the
F-250LD and its wierd 7-lug hubs. I think I'll go with the light-duty 250
instead of the 150 since I like the stronger frame and axles, plus the rear
disc brakes. And I don't need the extra strength and weight (nor want the
Dodge-esque looks) of the Superduty 250.....
