They can order your truck and have it drop shipped to the dealer of your choice for a surcharge. The surcharge MAY be negotiable or not. If not, they may be within a travel range your company can deal with. Another possibility is to buy via your SAMs Club or Price Club or similar buying service; typically for $50 to $150 over invoice. Finally, talk to the dealer's fleet manager. I ordered a new Ford truck via a dealer's fleet manager for $50 over invoice and then got a $750 rebate that was announced after making the order. I admit it was pure dumb luck on the rebate. The fleet guy said it was the first time he had seen a rebate on a 3/4 ton in many years. Good luck, Butch Davis- == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Aug 1998 08:07:30 -0700 From: "Harald" Subject: FTE 97up - Re: Invoice buying >Date: Wed, 19 Aug 1998 18:08:26 EDT >From: RAMWORKER >Subject: Re: FTE 97up - Invoice buying > >Hi List, > > It has come to pass that I am now in charge of procuring a 1998 F150 regular >cab, long bed V8 automatic with A/C for the company. It's a long way from Dallas but I HIGHLY recommend the Jim Click dealer in Green Valley, AZ. It was a pleasure for me to work with Bill Perine there and I got a great price on a '98 F 150! I wanted to find out how many others out there have a similar console and how accurate they are. Mine seems to be off on both the gallons used but not on the miles driven. This causes an error in the MPG calculation. I've talked to one other person and their console is almost dead on. The last two fill-ups I've been dead on, but I've kept track since the first tank and sometimes it can be off as much as 1.5 gallons. == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Aug 1998 23:36:28 -0400 From: Ken Payne Subject: Re: FTE 97up - 98 Eddie Bauer Expedition At 08:07 PM 8/20/98 -0400, you wrote: >My Eddie Bauer has 3,500 miles on it now and has cut off once.
