This resulted in a nice low rumble at idle and nice deep sound at full throttle. As for the rims, watch what you buy. Ford went to a new hub design on the '97s. Just make sure that it will fit. Other than that, I don't recall what those rims look like. Finally, the performance chip, doesn't change overall horsepower/torque, mearly ships the high point down about 500 RPM. K&N air filter: no effect. Pulleys, I haven't heard anything here about changes like that, so, try it and let us know. Have fun playing Tony, Chris Coleman, '97 Expy XLT, Smittybilt nerf bars, K&N air filter, Pioneer FHM-75 double din radio. _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 16 Aug 1998 18:36:32 -0400 From: Neil Stahl Subject: FTE 97up - Body for Towing Fifth Wheel Art, I've ordered a "Westerner storage body" made by Knapheide. It will give me some storage in compartments on the side but I don't think the sides will stick up too high. It should be good looking; the place I'm getting it had done another truck just like mine and the salesman said it was snazzy. I got the crew cab. It will be kind of long but I wanted to be able to carry passengers and maybe let my wife sleep while I drive. Someone pointed out it's nice for hauling groceries.
