I have the 40/20/40 cloth XLT seat, it is a reasonable seat, not the
worlds best, but pretty good. I sat in a cloth XLT captain chair, it
was very much the same, without the center seat. Compared to earlier F
Series seats (worlds worst seat), these are heaven! I have a 97 F-350
that I will ask for warranty seat replacement due to sag in driver's
area at 30k mi.

Hi Lee,

I saw earlier and here too that you have some
issues with your braking system on the F350. My
'97 F350 crew 4x4 5sp 460 has brakes that work
extremely well and are light as a feather. If it
provides any value to you, I can open the hood,
stare at the brakes and write down any sort of
identifying part numbers I can find. I think from
what I've seen that the brakes are fairly basic
big giant vacuum booster and disc in front, drums
in rear. Also, there is some sort of ABS system
that keeps the rear wheels from locking.

Hey if you are lookin for a new f-250 the dealer near my house has 15 or more
on the lot plus some in storage I think it is becuase we are close to one of
the entry places on the east coast where the store them till they are shiped
out

Ford finally took back my 97 F250HD and I now have in my possession a 99 F250SD, 4x4,
415 V-10, 4:30LS, SuperCab, Long Wheel Base, XLT. I'm grinnin.

BTW, the question of height has come up a couple times. Ford's web site stated that
my truck would be 80.4". I measured my garage, too high by about 1.5". When I got
my truck I noticed the manual said that the height was 77.?". So I tried to put it
in my garage... It fit! It had a little more than an inch to spare. I guess I
won't have to raise the header and get a new garage door after all! (The wife's
happy!).

Hi,

I have a 99 F250 Crew Cab with captains chairs. I find them to be very
good. They have great back support and the lumbar adjustment is great
for my lower back. I'm glad I got them.

Took Delivery 2 weeks ago of f-250 XLT with cloth Capt seats.They seem
too
firm or hard.Sure not as comfortable as the seats in the 200,000 mile
