They've waived the bought new requirement. All you need is to own a Ford or
GM product (I think any year is OK now also). It doesn't require that you
trade it on the new vehicle. If your buying a Windstar Chrysler vehicles
are also eligible, but only on Windstar.

I checked that last night, and unless I was half asleep, there was no mention of the "original owners"
part on the website.

Subject: FTE 97up - Voiding the warranty..

I have heard in the past that someone did this or that to their vechicle and
that voided the warranty. Where does one find it? Didn't see it in the
owners manual. And is there a rescource somewhere that lists these? I was
thinking of adding a remote start or maybe lifting my truck up a bit. Does
anyone know if these will void the warranty?

Thanks

Please look further down the page, it is on www.ford.com/incentive.html, in
the rules section under Eligible Customers.
The good news is it's a moot point, since Nathan reports they can waive the
original owner requirement.
Ford ought to update the website to avoid confusion.
