They have a web page at:

I noticed the same lack of an order form in my girlfriend's 97 Taurus
manual. I wonder why Ford stopped doing that.

Subject: FTE 97up - Resale of '98 Ranger Extended Cab

Just wondering what everyone thought of what the resale value on a '98 Ranger Extended Cab 4x4 will be like in the future? My concern is with the "quad" cab SCs for '99. Will these take away any value of the two-door supercab models? BTW, when are the
'99s due out?

Thanks,

Sven

Subject: FTE 97up - 97up questions

Hi! I am a long time member of the FTE lists, but new to the 97up list. I

currently have a '95 F150 XLT 4X4, 351, auto. I have been looking at '98
F150 extra cab 4X4s. I am very happy with my '95, but I would like the extra
cab. The truck I am currently eyeing is a Light Prairie Tan SC, Off Road,
4.6, auto. I'd really like a 5.4l, but they seem to be quite rare. Dealers
here don't want to deal on them much, either. I hope some of you
"experienced" '97up owners can answer a few questions.
1. How do you like the 4.6? How does it compare with the 302/351. Should I
wait for a 5.4?
2. Does the '98 use the E4OD and the 8.8" rear end?
3. Does anyone on the list have a F250 HD with a 5.4? How does it compare
with the F150 in
price? What kind of mileage do you get?
Any advice or suggestions you might offer will be appreciated.
Thanks
Randy

I have a 97 150 w/5.4. I have rented both Expeditons with 5.4 and 4.6 L.
IMHO I wouldnt waste my money on the 4.6. I assume you live some place with
hills and enjoy moving fast!

When it come to dealing, know the invoice and the phone numbers of all the
local dealers. Dont be afraid to discuss what the other dealer said. If they
dont give you a quote dont deal with them. ont be afraid to deal with a
company 100 miles away, save 1000 dollars, why not, what does the phone call
cost. BTW the local will usually match. If you can do your dealing on the
phone, much less emotional
They dont play that way? Either do you, leave your phone number, they willl
call you back

Good Luck

My 4.6 does just fine with one person in it. I don't know how it will run towing a
trailer or whatever. Basically, I have the 4.6 because I don't or won't do a lot of....
