It reduces engine startup knock dramatically. When I talk to the seemingly well informed staff at Mr. Lube they said definitely not to use synthetic until after the first 10,000kms or 6,000 miles. Also, he says (if I remember correctly) that 30,000 miles is the time to change to the Mobil one synthetic. Since he wrote that article I could presume that oils,....
