In response to the response from doug moore. I cannot afford to buy a
vehicle a yr. for five years. The reason I have is one upgrade and two
replacements for totaled vehicles because of other drivers. I am just
recounting my experience with my salesman. I too use the service dept.
more than the salesman. I have what I consider a good relation with my
salesman.. He is there to make a living and I am there to get a good
deal on a good vehicle. The two can go together. The service dept.
also takes good care of me or I would not go back, no matter how good
the deal is. All manufacturers had better wake up and learn that
service is the key.

My 99 F-350, V-10, 4.30 gears, auto, 4X4 Supercab, DRW Cab-chassis does
not feel terribly powerful. I notice the fan is very active, possibly
sucking up a lot of power. It has a viscous clutch (which is not stuck),
is it supposed to be thermostatically controlled? There is a lot of
noise at high RPM(3500), like suction noise from an uncovered 4 barrel,
but it does not stop if you let up on the gas...I assume this is fan
noise, is it normal? Truck has only 200 miles so far.
