We were talking about the same thing. I dont have an = extra cab (wish I did). I'm getting 18 on the highway and between 15 and = 16 in town. Now this is by my odometer that is a little off. I went from = P235/70/15's to 31"x10.50"x15's. I know my speedo reads 3mph slower than = you are actualy going so my milage is a little better than the numbers = I'm giving you. I have not figured out a proper calculation to do that. = Also the truck is lifted 2 1/2" in the front so it sets level and I have = a Raven Truck Topper on it. This all affected my mpg. When it was bone = stock I was getting around 19mpg in town and 21 to 22 on the highway = depending on what speed I drove. With each modification the gas milage = dropped a little. Sorry I was so long winded good luck finding your new = truck.=20 John Cassis 93' STX 4x4 3.0/5-speed ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Mar 1998 14:24:53 -0900 From: Casey Vandor Subject: Helm Manuals I found the little information packet in my 83 (the one that tells about the options of the truck) and on the flap is the order form for the Helm manuals for my truck, total cost (for all, electrical, mechanical, ect...) $65.00!! I can not draw a loan until I stop the student loan, so I can't even think of getting another truck for four (maybe five) years. Thats good though, give me a lot of time to know exactly what I want in my next truck. BTW I still am interested in some fuel economy figures for a 4.0L 4x4 3.73 Limited SLip and auto tranny. Is there a fuel economy web site someone could point me to? I went to a parts store and bought a very cheap pair of rear brake shoes and put them on, end of problem. Well I've enjoyed reading the Digest and hope to contribute a little. Good to be here.
