There are a LOT of guys with '93-'95 F-150 Lightning trucks that drag race their trucks on the strip and run low 14's to high 13's or better with NOS, superchargers and whatever else, with stock E4OD's and are street driven every day. Now that's abuse if I ever saw it, but these trannys can take it. Bob '94 Lightning #767 of 4007 Andrew T Vincitore wrote: > I've got a 92 F-250 2WD SC. 5.8 auto. Before a 750 mile trip to Idaho this month I changed the $60 oxygen sensor in the small crossover pipe between the header pipes just before they enter the catalytic converter. My fuel mileage ran 7.5 to 10.3 MPG this trip. The motor has 75,000 miles on it and I read that you should change these sensors every 30,000. I think I saved more on fuel on just this trip to more than pay the $60. I plan to change the O2 sensor on my '91 Probe tomorrow. Hope this helps. Damn, this car ran strong and shifted strong when I yanked the engine and tranny out to put into the 6X6 last week!!! I can't believe that I am now old enough (35) to say "they don't make them like they used to". Anyway, I enjoy the postings on this newsgroup. They are a real help most of the time!!! My 6X6 is coming along, I yanked the old 6cylinder out on Sunday with my bobcat. By the way, you have to seperate the tranny to get these units out, not that there are bunches of people doing this kind of thing!!!
