Thanks - -----I did not even try the big guys, I went to the yellow pages and started calling local shops that I knew of or someone else had previously frequented. I told them what I had, what I wanted and waited. They immediately recognized that I was shopping and were straightforward. I expect my son would have received a different price and reception. There are a surprising number of independent shops here abouts. Kind of like Darrell's Economy Mufflers here in Portland. Theyt are right across the street from Midas. People get the high quote from Midas and then go across the street and get the system installed for half. I went in with an exhaust leak, recently. It was a bad heat riser. They sent me to Ford to get one and they installed it for $20. Is there an adjustment to tighten it up or is it dead. Any help would be appreciated. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 2 Apr 1998 22:09:08 -0800 (PST) From: Randall Wer Subject: Re: Got my Truck I know there is no 4 cylinder in a ford truck. I have also never heard of a V4 in anything, lots of I4's, but never a V4. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 02 Apr 1998 22:25:24 -0800 From: "Matthew P. I replaced them solely because of a good deal from Edelbrock. They ride great and are yours for $125 obo. I found a flashlight (called dash flash) that plugs into you cigarette lighter. It has a flashing red led and is always there if you need some extra light. Everyone always asks me when i got a alarm so if it fools them it will make a theif look for something easier. Just a suggestion for those on a budget like me. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 02 Apr 1998 23:10:32 -0800 From: Thundercraft Subject: Re: Got my Truck Randall Wer wrote: > > I know there is no 4 cylinder in a ford truck.
