But on my 93 rager with 4.0 V6 the air tube is all rippled. This probaly causes the air to flow buppy robbing me of precious hp. I have seen special air tubes for chevy V8's by Da Kind Fabrications. Is there anything like this for ford V6 if not is there a simple inexpensive way of customizing the intake tube so the air will run smooth? - --part0_881339913_boundary-- +-------------- Ford Truck Enthusiasts - 1980 and Newer --------------+ | Send posts to fordtrucks80up | Send Unsubscribe requests to fordtrucks80up-request +----------------- Site: http://www.ford-trucks.com -----------------+ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 5 Dec 1997 09:07:02 -0800 From: John Yee Subject: 1999 trucks to appear in Motor Trend -Truck Trends Heads up. I've had is bad enough to actually spin the engine backwards too ( this means death to any 2.3L by means of a slipped cam belt ). It's nice that your truck is so new, you won't have problems w/rusted bolts. Although I personally don't understand why someone would want to 'lower' their truck. I'm looking to reverse (actually, they're 'reversed' from the factory, I want to flip them back to 'normal') my shackles to increase clearance. But, keep in mind that whatever the measurement difference is from the old shackle to the new, you will only gain (loss in your case) 1/2 of that distance. Because when you increase (or decrease) one end of the leaf spring, the axle is in the center and moves only half of that distance. Hope that helps. - -Randy > ------------------------------ > > Date: Thu, 4 Dec 1997 22:10:05 EST > From: Gamer2000 > Subject: Block heater ?s > > Does anyone know the way your supposed to install a tank circulation ( the > kind thats a little tank that mounts externally from the engine and connects > to the engine drain plug for imput and then connects to one of the heatercore > hoses) type block heater? It's the one going from the water pump to the firewall (so that you can 'backflush' thru the heater, the outlet hose goes to the thermostat). So I would say you would want to use the one going from the firewall to the top of the engine. I would get comfirmation of that, though. Ok here is what I know. we have had 4 trucks that ran off propane so far. First, was a '79 F150 with a 460. It had a daul fuel setup. Which makes the truck capable of running off both gasoline and propane. It was getting 16 mph on gas and 12 on propane. Not bad milage for a 460. Next was a '90 Ford Ranger with a V6. sorry but the gas milage and the engine size I am not familiar with. I took a persona; intrest in the full size trucks of the family, not the minis. Next was a '92 F150 with a 302. This is my fathers current truck. The propane tank it is the same that was on the others. A 80gal tank. Due some mech. probs its milage is only 13 gas and 11 propane. However it was getting over 1200 miles to 80 gallons when he first got the truck. The mech. probs were due to a car accident I was in. There was also my brothers 85 F250 HD with a 460 that was running propane only. It was a flat bed ranch truck. As I said it was only running propane, but was not built for propane only. It was getting average of 11 miles to the gallon. Ok now as for as knowing how to build a motor straight for propane, my brother and I are currently working on design specs for this. So far we know that propane has an.... To access the rest of this feature you must be a logged in Registered User Of Ford Truck Enthusiasts
