I have my fog lights that I took off my 96 Ranger . I also broke one , but have one good one that I'd sell for a resonable offer . These lights are a nuisance off-road even with my lifted Ranger . If your interested let me know . From: "Bryce T. Beyler" To: Reply-to: fordtrucks80up Subject: Factory Fog Lights on '97 Ranger Date: Mon, 3 Nov 97 22:45:45 +0000 Over the weekend, I cracked the lense on one of my fog lights (the round ones in the spoiler under the bumper in a 4x4 Ranger)...My local Ford Dealer wants $155 for one light (bracket, bulb, case and lense) and doesn't sell just a lense. After cleaning up the lense, I found it had a Hella Logo on it...the righting on the lens was as follows: TOP TN 25 SAEF86 HELLA 02B (E1) 8379 Anyone know what model that this light is so I can order an aftermarket set or call Hella directly (they ar local to me)? Any sugestions on other lights that fit the stock hole and brackets are welcome also... Don, I just bought a 98 Ranger with the 4.0 liter V6. I am not sure about the rest of your questions but I know that the 5th gear is very functional. I have the 3.73 gearing and the 5th gear keeps the RPM's at a reasonable level and cuts down on the gas consumption. I got the 60/40 split bench and its pretty comfortable so I wouldn't want to swap it out just yet. I didn't opt for the foglamps and I was having some buyer's remorse about that until I read the post about the cost of replacing a cracked lense. I only have one complaint about the 98 4x4 models. They went to torsion bars on the front suspension to give a better ride. Great for a smoother ride, but more of a hassle for me to try and lift it now. If you have ever lifted a torsion system before, you would know of how much a pain it is to lift. Good luck on your choice of a new vehicle and I hope this helps. P.S. If anyone hears of a lift kit for the 98's being available, can you let us know. Well... Can't blame a guy for dreaming. Jimmy, Did you you need a 6" lift to clear the 32's or do you think I can get away with a 4" with 33's underneath without compromising the wheel travel?
