Reading the back and forth about ABS and BMW's and ice and snow et, I can't
resist commenting! I've got two trucks--95 F150 (rear ABS) and 95 GMC (4
whl ABS), I love them both. We (Calif) don't see much rain etc, but when I
go down to LA for errands, I sure appreciate the ABS in both vehicles. I
live in a sorta rural area, and when I get to LA I tend to forget that I'm
driving 4000# of vehicle amidst litte commuter crakerboxes that for the
most part can stop better than I. So when moving along with traffic and
there is a rapid speed reduction as often occurs on LA FWY's (those people
are for the most part very attentive drivers), and with my truck's heft, I
am very glad for the ABS performance to haul my heavy ass down with the
others. I feel it has kept me out of many scrapes. Yes, just put the foot
down and it stops. Now, No muss, no fuss. I do believe this example is the
place/reason/time ABS is most effective. I've also had occasion to bless it
when towing my 5000# boat. Especially the day on a slight curve (wet and
greasy) I had to stop and the trailer tried to jack knife me. I was driving
the Ford and the Abs helped control the sideways push.
The Fordnatics track people have high praise for the SN-95 Mustangs
that have ABS for track use. They talk of going furthur/deeper/faster into
corners and using the ABS to handle the braking for faster lap times. I had
a vette with it, and the stopping was impressive. When used, it would fill
the cabin with ground rubber, without a tire chirp. I don't think I'm that
good myself.
Just call me "Joe-average weenie driver" who can use such advance
systems and appreciates them!
Dave Lampert

I don't think there is any signal going through a wiring harness in your
Bronco that will give you that buzz. More likely it is coming from the
alternator. I put an inline filter on the radio/cassette in my 1980
F-150 and the buzz went away very nicely.
