I think that what ford is doing here is they are trying to keep the V10 in
it's power range. The V10 develops it's power at higher RPM's than the
460. It's braking capacity that will determine if the GCVR gets raised any.

They'll refer you back to your selling dealer. They're basically useless.

K-Mart always stocks Motorcraft oil and filters and has frequent sales on

Seems to me there ought to be a list for just the 97 and beyond F series,
the one with the new designs. Keeping these seperate from the older F
series makes sense I think because engines are different for the most part.

The list should try to be as narrow of field as possible without getting to
narrow that it dies for lack of interest like many many newsgroups that I
have seen.

Any thoughts on just a 97 and beyond list?

While I'm no expert on the E40D, I did just install a Banks Transcommand
as part of a Banks Stage II kit. (Still need to install new turbine.)

I installed the kit before I installed anything else. It took about 40 minutes
to install.

Under heavy acceleration, the shifts are crisp. Before it was a bit soft.
Under light acceleration, shifts are real smooth. One other thing I noticed.
Before when going into reverse from park, the tranny hesitated for a bit before
engaging. Now, it engages immediately.

The version I have does not have the dash bypass switch, however, you can
still install a bypass plug at the module connector. (Bypass connector comes
with the kit.)

Overall, I am pleased with the design, results, and ease of installation.

i didnt have 2 pay 4] & 5 days inna shop
& the clutch wasnt all that great either

Not for long, word I get is that Ford has stopped marketing Motorcraft parts
through anyone other than Authorized Ford Dealers.
