Thanks for the replies. I will try the disconnecting the positive battery
cable.
I guess I can also replace the proportioning valve. I would think that if
this
was not working that the front and rear brakes wouldn't work together
properly. It's worth replacing the valve just to get that *# light off!

Ken: Hope you're feeling better!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you don't have pinging
then the 87 octane is OK?

Tony
Do check the 4 wheel drive van page. It is interesting. I lost it long ago and
thanks to you found it again.

My owners manuel and my rebuilt sector reqire ATF type F or else it says pemature ware will ocurr. I know the
Type F is defintly thicker and slicker.

Alright help me with this 300 stuff.

On the 300 I-6, anybody know what these can be bored out to? I was
thinking about building up a nice inline torque motor for the hell of it
for my '79 150 4x4. Curious to know max power I can obtain from one of
these jewels. Also, what are the valve sizes??? Stock hp and torque
ratings?? Also, what kinda fuel injection are the late models? Speed
Density?

Ideas?

Subject: FTE 80-96 - ADMIN: My health and thanks

Many members have sent, either through the lists or personally,
their concerns since I announced that I was on bed rest last
week.

Now that the ordeal is over, I'll let everyone know what
happened. Thursday night I started having numbness on the
left side of my face and on my left arm. Fearing the worst,
since something like this usually indicates a) heart attack,
b) stroke or c) brain tumor, I went to the hospital.

The EKG, blood work and cat scan came back normal. I was
told to get bed rest until I could see a neurologist. On
Saturday, the symptoms came back. I was given an MRI. It
came back normal. Today I say the neurologist. It turns
out that I was having an unusual/rare form of migraine headache.
I normally don't get many headaches so this was a surprise to me!

Well, its not life threatening, or even life-span threatening
so as the say down under: "no worries".

Thanks to the many who expressed their concerns.

Clifford Performance is a company dedicated to high performance inline
engines. They sell alot of performacne parts for the 300 I-6 like headers
heads and intake manifolds. I'm not sure if they have a web site though.
