Ok, I now know this Trany is a T19. To make my question simpler I only need
to ask... was the T19 available with a 6.32 first gear? I ask because I
could see the syncronizer having trouble with such a LOW gear.

You seem to have gotten that one right. :-)

Basically if you've got "80-96-list ford-trucks.com" in your "To:"
line, the mail's going to go to the right place. As far as "Subject"
line and content, that's up to you.

The first thing to do would be to pop out the switch assemblies and check
the switches and wires to make sure it is not the lock soleniod that is not
working. If the switch is bad then just replace it, if the lock solenoid is
not working then you are in for a slightl more difficult repair.
