The old one is not working and I have a steep driveway and 3 small childeren, I am afraid that the truck will slip out of gear one day and hurt someone. I have a Haynes repair manual, but it does not show how to replace the cable. Any Help will be welcome! == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 1 Aug 1998 20:28:12 -0500 From: "Rob Sartorius" Subject: FTE 80-96 - converting 84 351 carb to fuel inj DOES ANYONE HAVE EXPERIENCE IN CONVERTING A 1984 351 2BL CARB TO FUEL INJECTION AND WOULD THIS INCREASE MILEAGE? THANKS ROB == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 02 Aug 1998 00:48:36 PDT From: "Casey Vandor" Subject: FTE 80-96 - NEED new 4sp Stick To make a long story short, I dropped my Warner T-18 4 sp stick and broke the bearing cap on it. Since the bottom is welded together, it needs to be taken off of the top. I popped the little shift decal off the top and then turned the nut to take off the shifter, but doing so I stripped all the teeth on the stick. If NAPA doesn't make the cap, I am going to need a new stick (I will find out Monday afternoon if NAPA has them, if not the stick has to be here no later than August 17) If anybody is going to a junkyard, could you look for a stick? (it is the one that is curved to miss the ashtray and such) I would pay for the stick and shipping, (as long as I know how much the stick is first) I don't know how much they cost, but if one could be found at a reasonable price, I would greatly appreciate you all letting me know about it. I will try our junkyard tommorow and see what I can find, but my fingers are not crossed..... Thanks once again Casey Vandor ______________________________________________________ == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ End of 80-96-list-digest V2 #267 ******************************** +---- Ford Truck Enthusiasts - 1980 through 1996 Trucks And Vans -----+ | Send posts to 80-96-list To access the rest of this feature you must be a logged in Registered User Of Ford Truck Enthusiasts
