Not to do or maybe it does specifically with this post but can one of the EEC gurus out there give some directions on basic troubleshooting of the different EEC systems?.. I've got the excerpt from Four Wheeler Mag (Jan '98 issue). I ripped it out and I've got it in my Bronco binder. It's about four pages (including the advertisements) It's on a beige background so I don't think it will scan or fax very well. I can try to answer questions though.... (not stickers) I actually painted mine white when I got it, because the person I got it from had always used the brown wax over top of them and they were very dingy. (it looked rather bad becasue they stood out like a sore thumb, so I polished em up with brown wax a few times) The same goes for the racing stripes, but I can't paint them. Just curious, how much was the paint job? In Ketchikan Alaska, depending on which of the two shops you go to, for a fullsize pickup paintjob, it is 4,500 to 5,000. As much I like Fords, they need to actually physically break once in a while, instead of just not quite being right, so you know what the heck the problem is. (I am not so great at troubleshooting the thing) I am probably knocking on some iron bark here, I will drive to town tommorow and something will *break* and then I will be mad :-) Thanks Casey >>> I've heard of this too, fuel caps are designed to let air in and not out, perhaps its stuck?? = Ford Truck Enthusiasts ============================================== Send posts to: 80-96-list Send unsubscribe requests to: majordomo "unsubscribe 80-96-list" in the message body. ======================================================================= ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 26 May 1998 21:42:26 -0800 From: "Casey Vandor" Subject: FTE 80-96 - Re: Gas instead of Diesel COnversion I have been chewing over the gas to diesel swap for a while, and after looking at how much work I want to put in, I was considering a 460 swap over a the diesel. There were some good points brought up about what I needed and if I am going to be using the same truck a gasser will be easier to put in. My question is has anybody ever dealt with http://www.ford-trucks.com//lc/lc.php?action=do&link=http://www.engineexchange.com/index.html these guys before? They seem to have reasonable prices (course I havn't found many other places...) For 948.00 is it all it is cracked up to be?
