I know this one has been sort of addressed already but i didn't really get the answer i was after. The answer i did get was great, just not what i was looking for. I want to find out how to set up the second battery in an 88 Bronco XLT fullsize. I want to be seperate from the original battery. I want to run any future toys i install to one battery and then the original running battery. This way i basically always have a back up if one dies. If anyone has done this set-up before i would greatly appreciate the input. Last thing my rear window does not come down. The key does not work and neither does the switch. I have checked the fuse panel it seems to be fine. Could the window motor be burnt out? Is there away to get it down manually without the key or the switch? Any information on these two topics would be very helpfull. You can send a response on the list or to me directly at: todd_johnston Thanks in advance Todd Big Bronco Bustin = Ford Truck Enthusiasts ============================================== Send posts to: 80-96-list Send unsubscribe requests to: majordomo "unsubscribe 80-96-list" in the message body. ======================================================================= ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 May 1998 08:21:48 -0700 From: "Wood, Steve" Subject: FTE 80-96 - Please help with shocks for F-350 > Please help with the bouncies! > > We use our F-350 for pulling a travel trailer (not a 5th wheel). Jensen" Subject: FTE 80-96 - Oil Level on 6 cyl. I recently bought a 1990 F-150 2-wheel drive 300 cid in line 6. This is my first truck, and have some questions I would like to ask the knowledgeable people that frequent this site. The manual states six quarts of oil with filter change. Also do not overfill. When I changed oil and filter, and added six quarts, the oil level was way over the full mark on the dipstick, which also says do not overfill. Is this common, and am I overfilling by being over the full mark? Is this common on Ford trucks with 6 cyl.? Thank You for your comments. I add 4 quarts then check level on dipstick, if it's on the full or just below I fire it up for 30 seconds then shut it off and check again (has to fill the new oil filter up) then I top it off.
