We have static cling window decals. There are clear with white
letters. They go on the inside of your window and are viewed
on the outside. Similar to the oil change decals except much
tougher material and larger (12" x 3").

They say:

Tried, True and FORD Blue
www.ford-trucks.com

Go to:
http://www.ford-trucks.com/products/index.html

for a preview. Prices:

1/$3.50, 2/$6.75, 3/$10.00, 4 or more $3.00 each, shipping is
included.

If you ever wondered how we offer the lists and the web site

restoration

through Electronic Newstand. It helps soften the blow of our
monthly expenses.

Anyways, no more sales pitches. I normally keep this stuff
off the lists but someone asked....

Subject: FTE 80-96 - Exhaust systems

I've got to replace the exhaust system from the cat back on my '90 F150
4.9L. There has been lots of discussion on performance systems but I'm
just looking to go with stock replacement parts. Ford's prices are too
high. Autozone offers Merimont (spelling?) parts and Advance Auto
offers Walker parts. Does anyone have experience with either of these?
Do they come with hangers welded on that go into the original rubber
blocks? Any better suggestions for an inexpensive stock exhaust system?
Any help would be appreciated.

I posted the following question a couple of weeks ago with no response.
I'll ask again a little more specifically;

While replacing the water pump on my '90 F150 4.9L six, I noticed that
the fan clutch was leaking a little bit of silicone (I think) around the
thermal spring on the front. Should the clutch be replaced? The clutch
seems to work normally and turn freely. I heard somewhere that when
replacing either the pump or fan clutch it is a good idea to replace the
other. Is this true?

Thanks,
David

Rick,

The place is Mr. G's Rechromed Plastic, 5613 Elliott Reeder Rd., Fort Worth=
,
TX 76117 Their phone number is 817-838-3501, the fax number is
817-831-0638.

I have their catalogs (somewhere, I pulled this info from Hemmings) and I=20
have
had them to do some work for me. I'm redoing a '70 Torino GT and they
rechromed and detailed (repainted the correct black and argent paint)
my Cluster guages, Guage surrounds and A/C registers and they looked
brand new when I got them back. I believe they had 3 catalogs. One for
their rechrome service, one for their fasteners and one for ??? (I can't
remember). They were not the friendliest people, but they did good work
for me. As long as I get the craftsmanship I want, I can live with the=20
other.

As far as I know they don't have a web site. None listed anyway.

Hope this helps!

Ted,
Never heard of it, but catalog sounds cool. Is there a website.
Maybe you'll run across the address or phone# at home.

I'm new to the list, so HELLO everybody.

I have a 1993 F150 XLT/5.0L/AOD/3.55 Non-Limited Slip/Trailer Tow
package. I bought it used, so I don't have much history on it.
I am a long time 1976 F250 user, and I just got this F150.

Just wondering, after reading the list for a couple of days, if anyone
has come across this.
